The Nusantara Research Institute for Globalization and Sustainable Innovation (NRI) is a leading independent Indonesian think tank focused on supporting Indonesia’s sustainable development in a globalized world.

By working with national and international partners, we explore how foreign investment, trade, and innovation can support inclusive and sustainable progress—especially in agriculture, the green economy, and rural development
Through independent research, public forums, and policy engagement, NRI connects global developments with Indonesia’s local realities to support informed, inclusive, and forward-looking strategies.
NRI’s work is part of a bigger mission: helping Indonesia achieve the goals set out in the 1945 Constitution and the long-term vision for Indonesia 2045.

is a PhD researcher at the Institute for International Political Economy, WU Vienna University of Economics and Business, Austria. Originally from Indonesia, he brings both academic and practical focus on how foreign direct investment (FDI) can support inclusive and sustainable development—particularly in Indonesia.
He holds a Master of Science in International Economics and Public Policy from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and completed the Advanced Studies Program in International Economic Policy Research at the Kiel Institute for the World Economy, both in Germany.
Sidan has extensive experience advising on FDI-related strategies for the private sector, government institutions, and international organizations. His work bridges academic research and policy practice, with a focus on generating actionable insights that inform development strategies and support decision-making at multiple levels.

He brings a diverse background in corporate leadership, startups, G2G cooperation, and public policy, with experience advising development programs and institutional strategy for the Indonesian government.
He holds dual master’s degrees from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (Economics) and L’Institut Polytechnique de Paris (Organization, Strategy, and Information Systems).
An active writer, Dewa has published articles on economics, agribusiness, and development in outlets such as The Jakarta Post, ASEAN Post, and Bisnis Indonesia. He also lectures in management at the Indonesia Banking School and has published academic work in marketing, tourism, and social capital.
